Dark Slate Gray

Dark Slate Gray is a deep, slightly green-blue charcoal. The CSS hex is darker than most modern UI grays and has enough chroma to feel intentional rather than neutral. Architecture, interior, and editorial design use it as a sophisticated alternative to pure charcoal because the cool undertone reads as considered rather than default. Cream and warm wood alongside give interior palettes; bright coral makes a high-contrast layout. As body text on white it passes AAA comfortably. The chroma is low enough that adjacent saturated accent colors will not produce visual vibration against it.
