Tan

Tan in CSS is the warm, slightly orange-leaning beige of dried grass. The hex sits between Wheat and Burlywood, with low chroma at high lightness. Outdoor, heritage, and craft brands use it as a quiet primary or secondary surface, usually under deep brown type or alongside muted forest green for a heritage outdoor palette. As a UI element it works as a panel background for outdoor product cards; against white it provides reasonable separation but is too pale for body text. Body text contrast against white fails AA at every standard size - a surface tone.
