Linen

Linen is the warm off-white of unbleached natural fiber. The CSS hex carries a slightly pink-yellow undertone that reads as artisanal and tactile, distinct from cooler whites. Editorial, hospitality, and craft-product brands use it as a primary background. Pair with deep brown for type, or with terracotta for a secondary accent. The warm cast makes it especially comfortable for long-form reading and for product photography where a hint of texture without competing color is wanted. The undertone means cool grays placed adjacent to Linen will read as slightly off rather than as considered neutrals.
