Seashell

Seashell is one of the warmest off-whites in the CSS spec, with a faint pink-orange undertone. The hex reads as quiet and inviting, distinct from cooler whites. Editorial, hospitality, and craft brands use it as a primary background. Against deep brown type it warms a layout in a way charcoal cannot. The undertone suits long-form reading and product photography where a hint of texture is wanted without committing to a real color. Two Seashell surfaces sitting adjacent will look identical in dim viewing conditions, so treat the color as a single-layer tone rather than nested cards.
